iNTUition is NTU's only student-run 24 hour hackathon, organized by IEEE NTU Student Branch in collaboration with NTU Open Source Society. A hackathon is an event where newbies and seasoned veterans alike spend the weekend building meaningful and/or crazy. The term "hack" is used to describe how multiple technologies can be used together in a new & innovative way. Sleeping is optional, but trying to make awesome things is not.
No worries! Hackathons are the perfect environment to learn and apply something new in a short period of time! We are also organizing $PATH to iNTUition, a series of introductory technical workshops before the actual hackathon to help you build something you can be proud of by the end of the weekend.
Build something new and crazy that you are passionate about; iNTUition has no theme! Hacks will be ranked on technical difficulty, creativity, polish & general impressiveness. Please note that you cannot recycle old projects or start developing your hack beforehand, however, you may use parts of projects you've built before.
Students of all levels in any educational institution in Singapore & South-East Asia can sign up for iNTUition. If you are passionate about learning new technologies, building awesome projects and meeting like-minded hackers, we want you here!
A team can have between 2 and 4 members. You can sign up as a team or start/join one on the spot. Note that at least one team member must be present throughout the competition. Flying solo is also an option, although hackathons are more fun when you work together!
After the 24 hour development period, a panel of judges will choose the top 7 teams to present their hacks to everyone present. You can find out about our prizes here.
iNTUition v3.0 has partnered up with 12Geeks to provide participants with the opportunity to loan a variety of hardware kits including Genuino (i.e. Arduino) Unos, Raspberry Pis and Spark Photons for free to help you with your hack! Please fill up the form here once you've registered for the hackathon.
Bring your Matriculation Card/Student ID for admission and your laptop/hardware for hacking. We’ll provide snacks and meals throughout the event. We also recommend bringing a jacket, pillow, sleeping bag, toothbrush & deodorant.
Nope! Admission is free. Just register online and show up at the venue on 8th October! We'll provide food, caffeine, Wi-Fi and a place for you to hack for the entire duration of the event.
